Isabella Borg

French Horn Tutor at the George Vella Music school within Għaqda Mużikali Marija Bambina, Banda Vittorja, Naxxar

Isabella Borg was born in 1994 and is from Burmarrad. She is currently a primary school teacher. Isabella began her musical studies at the age of 9 with the Nicolo Isouard Philharmonic Society of Mosta, where she started playing the horn in the same year. She continued to advance her musical studies on the instrument with horn player Emanuel Spagnol. Over time, she attended more lessons with renowned horn players such as Manuele Catalano and Giuseppe Panepinto

Isabella has played with various local bands and has participated in many programs and concerts on the horn, including with the Vittoriosa Band San Lawrenz. Additionally, Isabella has also participated in ensembles such as quartets, including Ventil Horns, as well as with orchestras and different musical formations, including playing in musicals and other productions. Particularly, Isabella is also part of the Police Band as well as the National Band Clubs Association. Furthermore, she has also played abroad under the direction of Gianpaolo Lazzeri with the Filarmonica Rossini at the Teatri del Maggio. She has attended various musical masterclasses to further her knowledge in music, including in Livorno at the Pietro Mascagni Conservatory. Currently, Isabella is attending a music course at the University of Malta where she is pursuing a diploma in Wind Band Studies. Isabella Borg is also a horn teacher with the Soċjetà Mużikali San Lawrenz Belt Vittoriosa and  12th May Band of Ħaż-Żebbuġ.
