At the “George Vella School of Music”, we want our kids to enjoy themselves while learning music. We also want to provide a means where children can experiment with music, even in their initial years. For this reason, we present “Music Fun Time”, an introductory course to music for all kids between the ages of 7 (born in 2011) – 10 (born in 2008) years old. The course will be divided into 18 sessions, between November & April and each session will be 45 minutes long. During “Music Fun Time”, participants will be covering:
– Time and Rhythm Concepts
– Basic aural and oral exercises
– Introduction to music notation
– a Meet-and-Greet with various wind band instruments
All this through fun and practical activities, thus reaching out to various learning styles. Individual attention is a top priority within this course and therefore places are very limited. The course will lead participants to continue studying a wind band instrument of their choice within our music school.
Lessons will be held every Thursday between 4:30 and 5.15 and start on 9th January 2019.
A donation of €50 is kindly asked for each student at the beginning of the course. Also, as per policy of our school, at least one of the parents/legal guardians must be or become a member of our musical society, Għaqda Mużikali Marija Bambina, Banda Vittorja, Naxxar.
